Soda Club

6:21 PM Posted by Bits from a Brit

I received a Soda Stream earlier this month and I was so excited. I had one of these when I was a kid and I always loved making my own Soda! This machine carbonates regular tap water and you add a small amount of flavored concentrate to make your own drink. One of my favorite things about it when I was a kid was adding way too much carbonation and drinking it extra fizzy, I remember it always made my nose tingle!

I so happy Alex now has one of these and as soon as she is old enough she can make them herself too, just like Mummy did!

I love the fact that I never have to drink flat pop again. We have a variety of different flavors, including all the regulars you can think of and energy drinks, flavored water, you name it - they do it! It is also great for the environment, less waste from cans and bottles.

Take a look http://www.sodaclub.com/

Some more about Soda Club from their site:

Join over 10 million households worldwide who are turning water into fresh, fizzy sparkling water and soda(pop) in seconds!

» Fresh tastes better. You control the flavor and fizz of more than 20 soda flavors, plus enjoy fresh seltzer and flavored sparkling water

» No more cans and bottles. Re-usable, BPA-free carbonating bottles eliminate the lugging, storage and disposal associated with store-bought sparkling water and soda. Good for you, and great for the environment!

» Faster & easier than making coffee. Ready in less than 30 seconds. No cleanup!

» Healthier alternative. Regular flavors are sweetened without high-fructose corn syrup. Diet sodamix flavors are sweetened with Splenda® brand sweetener -- not aspartame.

» Smart value. Enjoy sparkling water starting at 20 cents per liter and soda as low as 57 cents per liter. Plus, no more wasted, flat soda or can/bottle deposit fees.

» Satisfaction guarantee. Soda-Club home soda makers come with a 3-year warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee. No membership commitment or cancellation.

Dreem

4:45 PM Posted by Bits from a Brit

Take a look at the great shirt designs over at Dreem..............these ones are for Moms! It's great to find a company offering Mom stuff, everything we find is usually for Alex. I LOVE receiving things in the mail for me too!!!

I get comments every time I wear my HOT MOM shirt! I love the designs, but I love the fit and the quality even more. I usually have a hard time finding t-shirts that fit me, I am 5'10 and they are usually too short, causing the dreaded Muffin Top to pop out over my jeans!
This shirt fits me great and it washes so well too, a must have for a white t-shirt in a house with a toddler!

They have shirts for both Moms and for Moms to Be with a selection of designs to suit any taste.
What a great baby shower gift for the Mom to Be - not everything has to be for Baby!

Go take a look at the selection of designs at http://www.shopdreem.com/

Uniquely U Boutique

4:32 PM Posted by Bits from a Brit

We LOVE the great hairclips they have at Uniquely U Boutique! They offer a great selection of designs to suit any little princess or tom boy. Check out my little Princess wearing her Uniquely U Boutique Hair Bow!

Alex loves wearing her clips, she has always been funny about having things in her hair or even disliked wearing hats. But when she saw herself in the mirror wearing her pretty pink bow she smiled and giggled and left it in all day! Princess for the Day!
They even have great Themed Hairbows for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Spider one is awesome.
Sometimes when you see pictures of products like this they are never quite the same in reality, but these cute clippies are! The quality and design of these is great, I can't wait to build up a collection of these so Alex can have one to go with every outfit!

Clorox Anti Allergen Fabric Spray

4:33 PM Posted by Bits from a Brit

We received this Anti Allergen Spray from the gals over at Mom Central and I used it before my guests arrived for the Gal to Gal Party yesterday. We have a Lab that is in the habit of sleeping on the sofa so any help we can get is great!

This gentle and effective formula helps neutralize up to 90 percent of common indoor allergens* that can hide in upholstery and fabrics throughout the house. The formula works by changing the structure of allergen proteins, rendering them inactive. The fragrance-free, dye-free spray is safe on virtually all fabrics and gentle enough to use around kids and pets. Bath Luve

7:49 PM Posted by Bits from a Brit

Take a look at this great Mom Invention Bath Luve.

It is a cloth that covers your newborn baby whilst they are in the tub, keeping them warm. Bath Luve lays on the shoulders and goes around the neck, covering a baby's chest and private area while allowing the arms and legs to move unobstructed.

This keeps a baby's bathtime more pleasant, keeping them warm and secure. The soft touch fabric snuggles baby and is gentle on their skin.

This is a must have for any new Parents and is a great shower gift.

It comes in 3 designs - Frog, Duck and Fish.

I wish we would have found this earlier! Bits from a Brit thinks this is a great must have baby product. We will be giving one at the next baby shower we attend!

Protect a Bub

1:52 PM Posted by Bits from a Brit

As many of you know I just returned from a week in the sunny Caribbean! The most used (and most useful) product I took with me was my Protect a Bub Sun Shield. I don't know what I would have done without it. We would have had to spend a lot more time indoors without this wonderful protective shield for my angel.

This shield easily attaches to any stroller to protect kids from the harmful rays of the sun and keeps them cool with the well vented design. It also folds so small it fits in any bag and is not bulky to carry around.

This went everywhere with us and enabled Alex to take naps in her stroller whilst we were on the islands we visited. We also tried out their lip sun screen and Alex is now so used to putting it on she still uses it at home. She loves the minty taste and it makes her feel grown up whilst protecting her lips from the sun!

They also offer a range of other products for keeping babies dry and warm too. Check them out at http://www.protect-a-bubusa.com/

A favorite of Bits from a Brit and Alex!

1:40 PM Posted by Bits from a Brit

Check out Dial Complete's Campaign for Clean Hands http://www.campaignforcleanhands.com/ where children tell their stories of who taught them to wash there hands and why it's so important. Based on findings from the Dial Complete® brand's Campaign for Clean Hands survey - When asked, "When you were a child, who taught you proper hand washing?," 76 percent of the individuals surveyed answered their mother was responsible for teaching them to wash their hands.

Enter the video contest "Why Clean Hands Are Important" where your children answer the questions. The winning video, after a national vote, receives a trip to Washington D.C. for four and $1,000. To register all you have to do is go to http://www.campaignforcleanhands.com/.

Some more about the Campaign:

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, washing your hands is one of the most important things kids and adults can do to keep from getting sick and spreading illness. The Campaign for Clean Hands is an exciting opportunity for kids 18 and under to creatively spread the clean hands message, “Why clean hands are important,” across America. Through creating a 15-to-30-second long Campaign For Clean Hands video and uploading it to YouTube, contestants have the opportunity to win a trip to Washington, D.C., provided by NWA WorldVacations, and $1,000. All this for simply reminding Americans why clean hands are important to good health.

Contestant entries will be judged on four criteria: message content, personality, electronic signatures and brand representation (after all, this contest is sponsored by Dial!).

Dapple Baby

9:31 PM Posted by Bits from a Brit

We have found a great baby care product that we would love to share with you...Dapple Baby. These are natural based cleaning products designed specially for households with babies. They offer Dapple Dish Liquid and Dapple Dishwasher Powder and will be bringing our a Dapple Toy Cleaner soon.

They are safe and effective cleaners that are designed to be used on baby bottles, cups and dishes whilst still being effective on Grown Up Dishes too!

I love these products and just wish we would have found them when our little pumpkin was a newborn! Try them out for yourself - http://www.dapplebaby.com/

Their Story:

When we first became moms, we found a market full of “baby-friendly” products – from gentle laundry detergent for babies’ clothes, to mild shampoo for babies’ hair. But there was nothing specific for the very items that our babies put into their mouths each day – their baby bottles, cups, and dishes. The dish soap products we used left a synthetic fragrance behind, and we were always concerned about lingering suds. We also soon noticed a persistent odor and film on our bottles that conventional dish liquids never fully removed. So we had an idea. What if there was a dish soap that could easily remove the residue and odor from breast milk, formula, and baby food? That was low foam and rinsed easily? That was natural-based and biodegradable? With the help and hard work of several experienced pediatricians and a team of seasoned chemists, Dapple Dish Liquid was born. And because we know busy parents don’t always have the time to wash their dishes by hand, we also introduced Dapple Dishwasher Powder . We’re excited to share with you the first-ever bottle and dish cleaning products for babies – mom-tested, pediatrician-approved. We invite you to explore our web site to find out more, and visit often as we release our full line of baby-specific cleaning products.
